Block Booking

Course Booking

£6.50-£9.40 per class

  • This is the simplest and cheapest booking option.

  • Block Bookings gets you into a full term of a class. So if you know you want to commit, this is the one for you.

    • In fact, even if you can't make 1 or 2 classes, that's fine! You'd just need to email us IMMEDIATELY after booking to cancel those specific classes (we'll then send you a discount code to cover those classes, that you can use for your next booking)

  • Block Bookings is also the option that's most likely to guarantee you a spot in your favourite class, as we open these 24hrs before everything else.

  • You can sign up for Block Bookings at any point in the term (as long as there's space in the class). You'll only pay for the remaining sessions.

  • This option is great for: people who know exactly what classes they want to do and have a relatively consistent schedule.

I'm thinking about joining a class via Block Bookings, but can I try it first before I commit?

Absolutely! You can try a class by booking on to just one session of it (via a Class Pass booking or an Individual Class booking) before committing to the full term! Just be aware that some classes do sell out, so it may be that by the time you come to book the term, you

have to join the Waiting List for specific weeks.

I'm an adult, I love dancing and want to join classes, but I'm not sure what level I should go for...

Lots of our classes are split into levels. You'll see the levels noted in the schedule. The classes that are not split into levels are open to all! And they really are! In these classes you'll have some dancers who are brand new, some that have been taking classes with us for years and some that were dancing before they could walk! And regardless of people's boogie backgrounds, are focus is making are EVERYONE feel comfortable and welcome! If you're not sure about which level to go for, buy a Class Pass and try a couple to see what you like. Or have a look at the videos on our Instagram page. Or get in touch, let us know what you're looking for and we'll give your some guidance!

Where can I learn more about your different classes?

We have a whole page dedicated to describing what's what in our classes. We'd also recommend taking a look at the videos on our Instagram page

I'm not sure what type of booking to go for (Block vs Individual vs Class Pass)...

Check out this page that explains your Booking Options in detail. As a New Joiner, we'd always recommend trying our 3 classes for £15 New Joiner Class Pass!

Where are your studios and do they have parking?

Check out this page, dedicated to directions and parking.

I think I'd like to book a term of a class, but can I try it first before I commit?

Absolutely! You can try a class by booking on to just one session of it (via a Class Pass booking or an Individual Class booking) before committing to the full term! Just be aware that some classes do sell out, so it may be that by the time you come to book the term, you have to join the Waiting List for specific weeks.

Can I join a class part way through the term?

For sure! We welcome people at any stage during the term! And if you want the benefits of booking via Block Booking (i.e. guaranteed space and cheaper prices) you can do that at an stage too! Whenever you book via a Block Booking you'll only pay for the remaining weeks of the term.

What should I wear to class?

For all classes you'll want to wear clothes you feel comfortable moving and sweating in :) In terms of shoes, it depends on the class. Generally in Ballet Barre Fit, Ballet, Lyrical Contemporary, Jazz and Lyrical Ballet people go bare foot, or wear socks or ballet shoes. Completely up to you. In Commercial, Musical Theatre, Burlesque and Commercial Latin people wear trainers. And in Tap people wear...Tap shoes! But please don't panic if you don't have Tap shoes yet! You can do it in trainers to begin with :)

What do I need to bring?

Mainly, just yourself! And an openness to throwing yourself around the dance floor! You'll also need a bottle of water. And for Ballet Barre Fitness, a yoga mat (though we can normally provide this if you can't bring one easily). If you're staying for multiple classes you might also want to bring a snack. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday we do provide grapes for people who do the triple threat (Ballet-LC-Jazz) to keep us energised and hydrated! And on really hot days, we'll usually be handing out ice-pops :)

Do you guys do socials?

ABSOLUTELY! It's a core part of our community! Every couple of months we either organise a mini show or a workshop/social or a trip to the pub! And we're often popping Prosecco in class for celebrations throughout the term - all part of the AE Dance experience :)

Class Pass Booking

£6.75-£9.70 per class

  • This is our most flexible option.

  • You can buy a Class Pass for 6, 12, 18, 24 classes at any point in the term, and use it to book on to whichever classes you like - any style, any location, any day (as long as there's space in the class!).

  • You just have to use the passes within 70 days - that's about a term and a half.

  • This is slighly cheaper than booking Individual Classes.

  • We have different Class Passes for different uses: All Dance Classes or just Ballet Barre Fitness,

  • This option is great for: people who know they want to do a fair chunk of classes but need to be flexible about where and when. OR want to be able to try a big range of classes!

How do I buy a class pass?

When you buy a Class Pass you must book at least one class with it, to order to actually pay for the Class Pass.

Here's how...

  1. Above the schedule of classes, you’ll see a button for CLASS PASSES. Select this

  2. Then choose the Class Pass you want to buy, by pressing SELECT in the appropriate box.

  3. Next press VIEW SELECTIONS (bottom right corner).

  4. A yellow box will pop up telling you to book a ticket. Easy. Just press SELECT TICKETS.

  5. You’ll be taken back to the Schedule, where you can then select the class(es) you’d like to book using your Class Pass.

    • To select a class, click on it in the schedule so it turns yellow.

    • (To change the date range of the classes you're looking at, use the calendar at the top left.)

    • Once you've selected a class, scroll down (or sometimes you may need to scroll up) and select to book as Individual Classes - you'll see a note telling you they're included in your Class Pass.

  6. You’ll note that the fee in your basket is that of the Class Pass (your basket will be at the top of the page). And it doesn’t change as you add classes (unless those classes are not covered by your selected Class Pass).

*Top tip, if you're scrolling around and not seeing what you expect to see, have a play around with scrolling in the middle of the page vs the edge of the page.

Waiting lists

What does the red circle with the line running through it mean?

This symbol means that the class is full on that specific day. That doesn’t mean it’s full every week! So be sure to check out the other dates. For example BBF may be full on Monday 6th September, but there may be space on Monday 13th September.

For full classes, we’d 100% recommend joining the Waiting List as we always have cancellations. So 9 out of 10 times you will get in! (But without joining the Waiting List, you won’t get notified when a spot comes up for you!)

How do I join the Waiting List?

If a class is full, you’ll need to join the Waiting List. You’ll find the button for doing so above the photo for the event.

Make sure you join the Waiting List for ALL the dates you want to join the class. Sometimes people think that because they joined the Waiting List for the first class of the block, they’ll get notified if a spot comes up each week. Unfortunately that's not the case. You need to go and join the Waiting List for every single week you want to do.

It says a class has spaces, but I can’t book a Block Booking…

This means that SOME of the classes within that term have spaces, and some don’t. Take Thursday Jazz for example - it may be full in week 1 + 2 but have spaces in weeks 3-7. That means you won’t be able to book the full term. But you can book on to individual weeks (via Individual Class Bookings or Class Pass). And then join the Waiting List for the full weeks! Easy!

Discount Codes/Credits

What's the difference between a discount code and credit?

Nothing! They're the same thing and work in the same way. WE normally refer to them as Discount Codes. And you'll most likely get one when you cancel a class within the terms of our cancellation policy (i.e. you've give us at least 12hrs notice).

I’ve been given a Discount Code. How do I use it?

Just select and book your class as normal, and when you get to the payment page fill in your Discount Code in the box provided. Press APPLY. And it’ll then automatically subtract the value of your Discount Code from the total price.

My Discount Code isn’t working for my Class Pass purchase. What should I do?

Don’t worry - regular Discount Codes don’t work for Class Passes, but it’s a simple fix. Just email us at hello@aedancefitness.com with your current Discount Code and we’ll update it so it’s valid for your Class Pass. We’ll send the updated code back to you.

My Discount Code is worth more than the class I’m trying to book. What should I do?

Don't worry - we sort this all the time. The thing is, you can only use a discount code once. And you don’t get a refund on any credit you don’t use. But we can split a discount code, to give you 2 smaller ones of lesser value. So if, for example, you have a code worth £21 but want to book a class worth £7.50, we’ll need to ‘split’ that down to a code worth £7.50 and a second one worth £13.50. To make this happen, just email us at hello@aedancefitness.com with a) your current discount code and b) a breakdown of what you want and we’ll send the 2 updated codes back to you!

I’ve got 2 of the same discount codes. What should I do?

You can only use each discount code once. So say you have 2x the code NY109, you’ll only be able to use one of them. Don’t worry though! Just email us at hello@aedancefitness.com and we’ll either combine the 2 discount codes (i.e. add them together), or replace one of them so the system doesn’t think you’re trying to use the same code twice! Just make sure you're not accidentally asking us to combine a code you've already used!

I’ve got 2 discount codes and I want to use them both at the same time. But I can only insert one per booking!

Don’t worry, this is simple. If you’ve got more than one discount code and you want to use them all at the same time, just email us at hello@aedancefitness.com and we’ll combine them for you, sending back one big discount code that is the sum of all your small ones. Make sure you tell us what your codes are (and make sure you've not already used some!).

How long is my discount code valid for?

Discount Codes must be used within 3 months of receiving them.

How to book classes

How do I actually book my classes?

  1. Before you start the booking process, decide whether you want to make a BLOCK BLOCKING of the same class or just book a one-off INDIVIDUAL CLASS or buy a CLASS PASS. You can read about each option on this page.

    • If you're planing to buy a Class Pass, ignore these instructions and instead head to the Class Pass section of this page and follow the directions there.

  2. Head to the class booking page.

  3. Scroll down to the schedule and click on the class you want to book. It'll turn yellow. If you want to book a class in the future use the calendar in the top left corner to pick the correct date.

  4. Once you've selected the class you'll need to scroll down (or up...bit bizarre, but go with it) to see the booking options  Block, Individual or Class Pass. There will be blue 'Select' buttons here.

  5. Select the Booking Option you want. Then, to pay, scroll back up to your basket. Or, to select more classes, click Select More!

*Top tip, if you're scrolling around and not seeing what you expect to see, have a play around with scrolling in the middle of the page vs the edge of the page.
